Here are some Frequently asked one’s.
1. Who is in charge of Supreme Design Publishing (SDP) ?
SDP answers to our readers. We design all of our books and products around the interests and issues of the people we are here to reach. In the end, we answer to the people. The Staff of SDP are all the “heads” of their respective divisions, just as most SDP decisions are routed through the publisher, Supreme Understanding; but – because our business structure is more like a web of cooperative effort than a hierarchy – everyone answers to each other. We also involve the general public and consumers in many of our business decisions.
2. Is Supreme Design Publishing a real company?
Believe it or not, we’ve actually had this question asked of us. Supreme Design Publishing (SDP) is an independent publishing company. SDP, Two Horizons Press, Asiatic Light Press, and Supreme Design Media are divisions of Supreme Design, LLC.
Supreme Design, LLC. is a media firm with offices in Atlanta, New Haven, New York City, and London, UK. Our firm specializes in bringing educational media to urban audiences. Now down to the nitty gritty – Supreme Design, LLC has an EIN number, a D&B number and is 100% Minority-Owned. We are independent in the sense that we have no bank loans, investors, federal contracts, government assistance or set-asides (though we qualify) and do not answer to anyone but our supporters. Now what’s fuckin with that?
3. How do I get involved with Supreme Design Publishing?
You can subscribe to our email newsletter to keep up with what’s going on with us, or you can “like” one of our pages on Facebook. Occasionally, we’ll post an update on opportunities in writing, research, marketing, and design. However, most SDP staff start out as interns. 4. But what if I want a PAID gig with Supreme Design Publishing?
Supreme Design Publishing – as noted above – doesn’t “employ” people in the traditional sense. We offer company incentives which range from free books to opportunities to invest in our products at the manufacturer’s cost. We offer wholesale discounts to the general public, so the easiest way to get paid with Supreme Design Publishing is to buy our products at a low wholesale price and reselling them to people in your community. We also pay royalties to authors and editors based on book sales.
5. How do I write for Supreme Design Publishing?
Subscribe to our email newsletter, and when we have a need/opportunity, you’ll be the first to know about it.
6. I already have a book/essay/memoir/poem/random thought already written. How do I get it published by Supreme Design Publishing?
First, ask yourself the following question: Is this an educational work that will help the general population, particularly people in the hood? If not, it’s probably not a good fit for S Supreme Design Publishing, but you can reach out to our sister company, Asiatic Light Press, and look into options for publishing there. 7. I have the money to publish my own book but I want to pay you to make it happen. How do I do that?
If you’d like to skip reaching out to the people at Asiatic Light and proceed directly to our Author Services division, where we offer editing, typesetting, design, marketing, coaching, and printing, you can email authorservices@supremedesignonline.com As long as you have some idea of your project’s page count and the quantity you want to print, they can give you an estimate of how much your project would cost. If you’re still in the “idea” stage, they can connect you with a writing coach to help take your project to completion.
8. Can I get free books from Supreme Design Publishing?
You sure can. We have a series of free e-books that are available at our various websites, along with free excerpts of our main titles. Our main titles are only available free to nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (and only upon receipt of an actual proposal), and to indigent prisoners. We ship to indigent prisoners using a schedule so that our books are distributed fairly and evenly. These donations are funded by paid purchases by individuals like yourself.
9. I want to do a review of one of your books for my magazine/radio show/blog/youtube/twitter page. How do I get a complimentary copy?
Send us a letter or email with the website where we can learn more about the place where the review will be featured. If it’s a familiar name we’ll usually send out our press kit and a review copy immediately. However, because we get many requests of this nature, we reserve the right to be selective about sending out free copies. If you’re interested in supporting us, the best way is to simply purchase one of our books at our already-discounted rates and then email us a link to the review. We’ll do our best to feature positive reviews on our website or newsletter.
10. How can I help promote your products?
Here’s a checklist of things you can do to help promote any (or all!) of Supreme Design Publishing’s books and products:
Tell people you know about the book and the ideas in it. Word of mouth is major.
Give copies to people who need the book in their life (check out our great wholesale rates online at www.supremedesignonline.com).
Donate copies to anyone you know who is incarcerated.
Put the lessons in the book into practice in your daily life and let others ask you about the change.
Develop a plan for how you’re going to create changes in your life and the world around you. Incorporate the book into those plans.
Send us a picture of yourself with the book, along your praise or feedback. Or simply post a picture online (tag us if you can!).
Post quotes or links related to the book on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Post regularly!
Mention the book in online forums and in the comments sections of popular websites.
Leave positive reviews of the book at Amazon.com, Goodreads.com and other sites.
Request the book at your local Borders and Barnes and Noble.
Request the book at your local libraries and have them order it.
Talk to local nonprofits about incorporating the book into their curriculum.
Create a promotional video on Youtube or share one of ours.
Distribute flyers for the book throughout your community and at relevant events (send us your mailing address and we’ll send out a batch for whatever book you request).
Wear a t-shirt that promotes the book (check our website’s “Products” section).
Buy copies at wholesale prices and resell them at a profit!
Visit local retailers and ask them if they’re interested in carrying the book.
Post our stickers (where permissible), posters, and other media in visible locations.
Talk to your local schools, colleges, and nonprofits about hosting one of the authors as a guest speaker at an upcoming event.
Mention the book on the radio (or tv!), or suggest one of the authors as a future guest.
Sign up for our email newsletter (at our site) and forward it to your contacts.
Purchase one of our ebooks online and loan it out to a fellow ebook reader.

SHIPPING FAQ
1. When will my book order arrive?
One of our goals at Supreme Design Publishing is to provide the most reliable, efficient, and affordable means of getting our books and products to our customers. Shipments from us normally arrive within 5 to 10 business days after the order has been processed.
2. What if my books haven’t arrived by that time?
If your books have not arrived within 10 business days, check your email to see if we’ve already tried to contact you. If not, please send us an email with the details of your order, and we’ll provide you the tracking number for your shipment. If you decide to contact us via phone and do not reach us, allow us 24-48 hours to respond to your call. Please do not open a PayPal dispute against us before at least following these steps. If you have not notified us about not receiving your order after 60 days from date of purchase, it becomes very difficult to track down any details about what may have happened, and we are no longer responsible.
3. Do wholesale orders ship faster?
Yes. Wholesale orders (20 books or more) are typically shipped via Fed Ex and arrive within 2 to 3 business days.
4. What if my wholesale order hasn’t arrived by that time?
If your books have not arrived within 5 business days, check your email to see if we’ve already tried to contact you. If not, please send us an email with the details of your order, and we’ll provide you the tracking number for your shipment.
5. What can I do to make sure my order arrives quickly?
To make sure your order arrives in a timely manner, please use a confirmed shipping address (see below) and verify that the shipping address you provide is accurate.
6. What if there’s a mistake on my address?
If there are any issues with your address or your order, we will email you at the email address listed on your Paypal account. If we do not catch a mistake on the address that you have provided and the merchandise is returned to us, you will be held responsible for the cost of reshipping.
7. What could be wrong with the address I gave you?
Our most common problems are:
(A) shipping to Paypal addresses that customers have moved from (without updating their address),
(B) attempting to determine whether the address should end in street, avenue, or blvd (when this hasn’t been provided),
(C) correcting zipcodes when the incorrect one is provided, and
(D) contacting customers to get an apartment number when it is not provided.
To help us ship your order promptly, when you provide your address, please specify whether you live on a street, avenue, blvd, etc. For example 360 Franklin is not a complete address. You will need to put 360 Franklin Avenue. And please specify if you live in an apartment. For example if you live in Apartment #3 please specify by putting Apt. 3 and not just a 3 after the street or avenue.
8. Do you ship to unconfirmed addresses?
In the near future, we will ONLY be shipping online orders to CONFIRMED Paypal addresses. Until then, shipments to unconfirmed addresses may be delayed until we can contact you for verification.
Confirming your address with Paypal can be as simple as adding a credit card to your account or mailing them some proof of address, but it makes a significant difference for us. Confirmed addresses help us avoid fraud, chargebacks, and problems due to incorrect addresses. If you can, confirm your address before placing your order. It will guarantee that your order will ship out immediately.
9. What if I moved?
If you were already registered with PayPal and you have moved to a new address, please update your account with your new shipping address. We CAN NOT ship to a new address you provide us by email after we contact you.
10. Do you ship to prisons?
Yes. If you are sending to a prison, most inmates have a DOC number. Please put this next to the inmate's name. The inmate’s name and mailing address should go under the shipping address, while your information as the buyer remains.
11. How long does it take for an order to get to someone in prison?
We ship to prisons on a regular basis. However, you should know that delivery times to prisoners can vary considerable. Some institutions take considerably longer to review our books before releasing them, while others expedite the delivery. If the books have not arrived in 3-4 weeks, please check your email to see if we’ve already tried to contact you. If not, please send us an email with the details of your order, and we’ll provide you the tracking number for your shipment.
12. Are there are any prisons you can’t ship to?
There are a few prisons where we’re currently fighting a legal battle to get our books off the “dangerous literature” list. Most notably, NO institution in the state of Connecticut currently accepts How to Hustle and Win Part One or Two. However, Connecticut prisons have accepted Knowledge of Self and The Hood Health Handbook. We’ve also had trouble with getting How to Hustle and Win Part One and Two into a few prisons in Florida, and some institutions in Viriginia won't accept Knowledge of Self.
13. What if the book is rejected by the prison it was shipped to?
If the book is returned to us, we will gladly refund the cost of your order, minus shipping. We will not know the book has been returned until it is mailed back to us with a rejection notice. This has taken weeks in the past. Please don’t blame us. Blame the system.
14. Do you ship internationally?
Yes. However, depending on where you live, shipping to your country can get expensive. We’ve done our best to keep shipping costs low by charging as close to (or less than) the priority (airmail) rates for most countries. If this doesn’t work for you, you’re welcome to place international orders for our books at www.Amazon.com, which may offer lower shipping costs.
15. How long does it take for international orders to arrive?
International shipping usually takes 10 business days. If you do not receive your item within 3 weeks, please contact us.
16. Do you take payments over the phone?
No. To keep things simple, we only accept orders online and by mail. Many of the bookstores listed on our “Retailers” directory [link] accept credit card orders by phone and will ship to you. However, we are not involved in this transaction, so – if you choose to order from a bookstore – please follow up with them if you have questions about your order.
17. Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. Our online shopping cart accepts payments from registered Paypal accounts and unregistered users with a Visa or Mastercard. You will see both options (logging into Paypal or using a credit card) when you get ready to checkout.
18. What other forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payments sent by mail. We prefer postal or institutional money orders – rather than the kind from the Mom and Pop grocery store. We don’t accept checks…and you know why. We also don’t accept barters, trades, shells, beads, food, CDs, t-shirts, food stamps, or IOUs. We also don’t recommend sending cash, because it may not get to us. 19. How do I know what to pay for shipping if I pay by mail?
Make sure you include the cost of shipping. To find out your shipping costs, you can use our website to add all the iterms you’d like, begin the checkout process, and have our system estimate shipping, and then log out. You can then send that total amount to us (including shipping) by mail.
20. What happened to Rap, Race and Revolution?
We re-released it as How to Hustle and Win, Part 2. We did this to maintain the continuity of the series. The two titles were causing some confusion for readers who didn’t know that Rap, Race, and Revolution was Part 2 of How to Hustle and Win.
21.What's the difference between Rap Race and Revolution and How to Hustle and Win, Part 2?
HHW2 has all the content found in RRR. In addition to a few minor corrections here and there, HHW2 has a new cover, a new title, and 16 pages of new content. Basically it’s the same book with a new cover.
22. When is [insert book title here] coming out?
All books that have been released are available for purchase online. If it hasn’t been released yet, you won’t be able to order it or preorder it. We typically only announce the YEAR and SEASON (winter, spring, summer, fall) that a future title will be released. You can find that on our online book catalog [link]. About a month before the official release date, we announce the specific release DAY.
